Introducing Kaylee

Hi

Today I start introducing my sisters.  I will start with my twin Kaylee, since you've already heard about her.  She's a  beautiful blonde and all girl.

Her first love is clothes; usually pink.  Uugh!!!  Her second love is horses.  She loves to ride in parades and loves to ride in our horse drawn sleigh.

She really enjoys skiing as long as I'm not part of the group.

The last time we went out I caused an accident when I crossed her ski tips.

It was one of those things you couldn't have planned if you had thought of it.

She's still mad because I  caused her to crash.

Her bedroom is decorated in pink with butterflies, frilly pillows and her pink afghan with flowers, all very girly.  She's my most girly sister.

She wants a kitten, but hasn't found the right one yet.  She has decided on a very fluffy white one, if she can find it.  She says puppies are too wild and rough.

She likes the old Haley Mills movies.  Her favorite is the Moon-Spinners.  She has a pretty good collection of them.

Kaylee loves to dress up and have her picture taken or go to a party.  She prefers indoor parties with dances and fancy desserts.

Don't get me wrong.  She's sweet and lovable.  At least that's what the other girls say.  I think she has too much "girl" in the way she acts.  I'm glad I have normal sisters, too.

You can decide about her for yourself later, as you get to know her better.

Introducing Matthew

Good afternoon

My little brother, Matthew, is really cute.  He's always trying to imitate Logan and I.

His favorite animals aren't horses, yet.  He likes zoo type animals; especially the lions and tigers.

He's only 3 and already wants to live in Africa, so he can protect the lions and tigers there.  He says poachers are worse than rustlers.

His favorite bedtime stories are about lions and tigers, too.  Right now he wants to hear The Lions Haircut every night.  He also likes the stories Logan and I make up.

Our Grandma Helen was a great story teller and we inherited her gift.

The Lions Haircut by Jennifer Giddings and Eugenie (1969) was one of Aunt TracyAnns favorites when she was little.  Nana says she had it memorized; because she read it to often.

Matthew loves to tease his cousin Mariska.  Right now that is his favorite pastime.  Shes the same age he is; so they spend a lot of time together.

We'll probably have stories about that.

And Matthew agrees that Sarafina is a GREAT cook.  He loves her cookies.

Introducing Logan

Hi again

The first person I want to introduce is Logan. He's my only boy cousin and he'll be writing this blog with me.  He has 13 sisters.  He'll have some interesting information about girls for you.

Logan is the only boy in a set of triplets.  His sisters are Lynsy and Loryn.  Each of the three kids is very different from the other two.

He likes John Deer tractors and equipment; horses and his dog; JD (named for John Deer).  Logan is into farming a lot more than I am.

In return for all the help he gives me with the horses he makes me help with the hay and grain harvests.  He says he's the brain and I'm the brawn.

Together we enjoy hunting, fishing and camping.  And Sarafinas'  GREAT cooking.

Finally! The Guys have a say!!

Hi

My name is Kyle.  I will be writing a blog from a boys point of view. This will be my first blog post.

I live with my Nana Kathie, my Aunt TracyAnn, 9 sisters, a little brother, 13 girl cousins and 1 boy cousin.

Aunt TracyAnns girls have a blog.  It's called the Bolton GIRLS Travel Journal.  Logan wouldn't write on a "girls" blog even if they would let him have a say.

This blog will be written mostly by Logan and myself.  My sisters will be allowed to share on it at times, if they have something special.  My little brother Matthew is too young to do any writing.  I will share his thoughts when he has something worthwhile to add.

I will begin by telling about myself, introduce Logan and then introduce my family one or two at a time.

I am a twin.  My twin sister is Kaylee.  Our birthday is shared with Nana Kathies cousin Kay Henderson Sasser.  She was a very special person, we lost to cancer years ago.

Logan and I are responsible for our horses.  We take care of the horses for all of my sisters, his sisters and their friends.  We have a lot of fun along with the work. Sometimes the girls pawn their other animals off on us too. You know: goats, llamas, bunnies, dogs, cats and whatever!

I prefer western clothing. Nana Kathie is supposed to be working on some western shirts and vests for me. But, I've been waiting a long time.  Maybe you can let her know you would like to see them.

I like horseback riding, training horses, sleigh and wagon rides, hunting, fishing, camping, photographing animals and trips to the beach.  Stories about these will be included in my future blogs.

I also love to eat.  Sarafina, one of my sisters, is a GREAT cook.
